On September 14, 2000 my fairly uncomplicated journey through life jumped the curb because of an e-mail I received from my best friend, Pam Moss. After several months of working out at the gym Pam decided to register for the Avon Breast Cancer 3 Day event to be held in Chicago in June 2001. She sent me an e-mail with a link to the website. I figured why not. I needed a goal and this is a cause that hits close to home. I signed up....life has not been the same since then.

My journey really began in 1978 when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. That was 22 years ago and she is still going strong. I'm walking for her....and for Lillian.....and Betty.....and Dorcas....and Dorothy....and every man, woman and child that has been touched by this disease.

Their journey was tough....60 miles is nothing compared to what they have had to endure. I can (and will) do this for them. I hope that you'll share this incredible journey with me-by supporting me in my fundraising efforts.
